1. How to Create An Account via the Kiosk

To create a copy account via the library kiosk,

You will need ....
  • A full or temporary IALS or SAScard. Full library card holders should only need to create a copy account if they are returning students or staff
Let's begin ....
  • Swipe your card via the barcode reader attached to the kiosk, or enter your card number using the virtual keyboard
  • Touch the Register button
  • Accept the terms
  • Enter your barcode number
  • Enter your Firstname
  • Enter your Surname
  • Enter a PIN. This must be 4-digits
  • Re-enter your PIN to confirm
  • Touch Register

You have now created a copying account.

For further information on how to create a copying account or if you encounter any problems, please contact the Library Enquiry desk.

 

1. How to Add Credit via the Kiosk

To add credit via the library kiosk,

You will need ....
  • A full IALS or SAS card, or a temporary card.
  • A copy account linked to your card
Let's begin ....
  • Swipe your card via the barcode reader attached to the kiosk, or enter your card number using the virtual keyboard
  • Check display on screen. It should show your card current credit balance
  • Insert cash. The kiosk takes £1 or £2 coins, and £10 or £20 in notes
  • Check display on screen. Your newly added credit will appear on screen
  • Touch log out button to return to home screen

You have now added credit to your copy account.

Remember, the kiosk does not issue receipts. If you need a receipt please ask for one from staff at the Library Enquiry desk.
