Beck-online is a German law database provided by Beck Publishing. IALS Library’s subscription covers five subject-based modules, three legislation modules, and one module containing journals and cases.
Access
Beck-online is available on-site to all academic members of IALS Library, and off-site to IALS Library members from the University of London.

Searching
Basic and advanced search facilities are available: Suche and Detailsuche.
To limit your search to content covered by IALS Library’s subscription, select Unser beck-online using the drop-down menu below the search box, as shown below:
To limit your search to a particular type of material, e.g. cases (Rechtsprechung), use the Detailsuche drop-down menu.
Browsing
Content covered by IALS Library’s subscription can be browsed on the ’Unser beck-online’ tab, by module, area of law or type of material (books, journals, cases, legislation).
Reading
Content is available to read online in HTML format only.
Printing and emailing
Documents can be printed or emailed using the ‘Zum Druck- und Exportmanager’ on the menu on the right hand side of the screen.
Accessibility
Beck-online provides content in HTML format which is compatible with screen readers.
