Le Doctrinal is a French law journal index combined with collections of full-text French legislation, cases and parliamentary questions.
Access
The database is available on site to academic members of IALS Library. Remote access is available to IALS staff, fellows and students and to staff, fellows and students from other SAS institutes.
Content
Le Doctrinal indexes the contents of more than 300 law journals (revues), covering French, European and international law, and about 50 celebratory essay collections (mélanges). Most of the law journals are French, but English-language titles are also included.

No full-text journal articles are available in Le Doctrinal. For full-text French journals, see Lexis 360 and IALS Library's print holdings.

Searching
Quick and advanced search facilities are available: Recherche rapide and Recherche experte.
Quick searches can be limited to title, author key words or citation using the tick-boxes below the search bar.
Advanced search allows you to focus your research using the Boolean connectors, ET, OÙ, SAUF (AND, OR, NOT).
Search results can be filtered by collection: Revues, Mélanges, Jurisprudence and Textes. The Textes collection includes legislation from the Journal Officiel, codes and parliamentary questions. Results can also be filtered by subject, date, type of document and other criteria.
Browsing
Users can browse by journal, by collection of celebratory essays, or by author: see Liste des revues, Liste des mélanges and Liste des auteurs.
