Access to JSTOR is available onsite at IALS. IALS and SAS staff and students can also access JSTOR remotely.
Content
JSTOR is a multidisciplinary collection of around 2,800 scholarly journals, including about 140 law journals. It also includes research reports, open access books and images; our subscription does not cover books that are not open access.
The journals on JSTOR go from volume 1 up to a rolling cut-off point a few years before the present.
The JSTOR service is a non-profit initiative based in the US, originally conceived at the Andrew W Mellon Foundation.
Browsing and searching
The contents can be browsed by subject, title, publisher or collection.
Basic Search allows you to search across all content, by word or phrase, author's name and other criteria.
Advanced Search allows searching by one or more different fields, e.g. full text, author, article title and/or abstract. Advanced searches can be limited by subject, date range, language, or type of publication.
Reading and downloading
Content on JSTOR can be read online in accessible PDF format. Documents can also be downloaded in PDF format.
