Torrossa is available on site and remotely to all academic members of IALS Library.

To open a book on the Torrossa platform, click ‘Read online’.

Content
Collection of about 30 books purchased by IALS from the Torrossa Digital Library. The selected titles cover Italian, Spanish, Latin-American and comparative law. The majority are in either Spanish or Italian.

Each title is individually listed on the IALS Library Catalogue.

Searching
Basic and advanced search options are available. Some search results may not be available in full, if they are not titles purchased by IALS.

To search within a single book, select Read Online to open the PDF file, then click on the magnifying glass icon and enter search terms.

Browsing
The options on the left can be used to filter IALS Library's purchased titles by publisher, language, place of publication, series, publication year and other criteria.

You can also use ‘Browse by discipline" and ’Browse by publisher' on the search bar at the top. Only the titles purchased by IALS will come up while browsing.

Reading and downloading
Content on the Torrossa platform is available to read online in accessible PDF format. The online PDF reader allows content to be zoomed up to 400%.

Sections of books can also be downloaded in PDF format. Downloaded e-books are automatically deleted after 14 days under Torrossa's digital rights management system. However, the same book may be downloaded more than once.  Each book has its own Download button; after downloading, open the book from Adobe Acrobat.

To print a book, download it first, then print from Adobe Acrobat. Extracts of books can be copied and pasted.

Help
There is an ‘FAQ/Help’ menu at the top. Some of the help is in English, but the FAQs are in Italian.
