About this guide

IALS Library runs a wide range of training for its many registered readers. This guide provides details of the training sessions that any postgraduate researcher, visiting fellow or member of teaching staff with a current Library card or SAScard may attend, regardless of level, background or affiliation.

Training programme for 2020/2021

The library team at IALS offer a wide range of training sessions for researchers throughout the academic year. A brief overview of the training programme for 2020/2021 is outlined below.

Running late for a session?

Spaces for our training sessions are always in high demand. If you are running late please get in touch with us at ials@sas.ac.uk to let us know. If you don't turn up on time we will assume you aren't coming and may offer your space to another student.

Arriving in London late?

It is strongly recommended that you attend the training sessions in the Autumn term, especially if you are new to the library, to law or to using legal databases. If you can't make the training due to late arrival in London, please get in touch and we can give you a brief run through of what you need to know to use the library effectively.
