Connecting to Wireless
You will need .....
1. A fully updated computer, tablet or phone
Before you begin, please check that you have installed anti-virus software and that the software on your device is up to date.
2. A permanent library card
Permanent cards include:
- All plastic cards issued by IALS
- All SAScards issued by the School of Advanced Study
Provisional paper-based cards are not accepted for authenticating wireless although for day members and IALS short course students access is allowed for the duration of their stay.
If you are a non-UK resident or have purchased your laptop overseas, you may have to use advanced networking options found in the Control Panel in order to successfully connect.
If you have any difficulty, please ask staff at the Issue & Returns desk for a Windows 8/10 laptop guide.
