If there a key organisation in your area of research, make sure you subscribe to its mailing list and join its social media platforms. This is a very good way of letting yourself be informed about relevant upcoming events.
The IALS calendar of forthcoming events can be viewed at http://ials.sas.ac.uk/events.
If the organisation doesn't have a social media presence, you can either check their website regularly for details of new events, or set up a web page monitoring alert, as described in the introduction to this guide.
As mentioned in the News & Current Awareness section of this guide, the Inner Temple Library produces a legal current awareness blog and one of the sections is Forthcoming Events. To sign up for this RSS feed, click on the RSS icon and choose the following:
City University's Lawbore website provides a selection of upcoming events that may be of interest to law students. There is a London / professional focus but some events may be still be useful to researchers and academics.
The Conference Alerts website lists upcoming conferences by discipline. It is possible to subscribe to the website and set-up an events email alert based on keywords of your choosing. You can also limit the alerts only events taking place in specific countries.
